Here is a short YouTube Video that Steve did a few months ago on the subject of golf training aids.

He makes some interesting comments in regard to the training aids that the guys on Tour actually use…namely the LeaderBoard, the Club Kite and the Speed Stik
This is a good video…it really explains how good golf training aids can help golfers – especially the Touring Pros who are after every edge they can get. By the way, you need to watch the video to the end….that’s when he gets to the training aid part.

Congratulations to our own Steve Bann – awarded the Australian Golf Digest 2007 Coach of the Year at the awards dinner in Sydney last night.

P.S Steve’s red eyes are purely due to camera glare….honest

“I believe confidence is a direct result of preparation and experience. Confidence is not some mystical belief that cannot be substantiated by tangible evidence that it exists. Confidence is knowing that you can do something because you have done it before.”
Steve Bann
Coach to Stuart Appleby, Nick Flanagan and KJ Choi
Confidence is the single most important mental skill that a golfer can possess. The fundamental reason a golfer should venture to the practice range and short game area is to practice for the purpose of building confidence, or to maintain preexisting confidence in their ability to hit shots in all shot categories – from putting through to driver.

It has been almost two months now since we launched the free golf analysis questionaire and the feedback has been nothing short of amazing.
Over 2000 students have now taken the free questionaire and have received a 5 page report, from Steve, which analyses their game in every detail.
Judging be some of the comments we know that many of you were a little “spooked” by just how accurately the report described your game. Here is one of many emails we received:
Steve,
Yes thanks I have recieved my Analysis, it is as if you have seen me play or coached me before. Everything you have said is so true. I’m on a roster that doesn’t let me play in too many comps but I do get time to practice. I’ve obviously had a couple of lessons and i’m practising those techniques now. I had my best round the other month, having 3 over (1 over the front & 2 over the back so it is working.
Regards Rick
If you haven’t had your free analysis yet then get onto it straight away at Free Golf Lesson Online

With all the hype in Golf Digest recently regarding the Stack and Tilt method we thought it would be worthwhile getting a view from Steve on the subject.
Here was his response:
“Yes it has some merit – at least from a mechanical point of view. However when it comes to the biomechanics relating to the human body, things are not quite so simple. The body is much more than a simple machine ”
Steve Bann
Coach to Stuart Appleby, KJ Choi and Nick Flanagan
When asked if the LeaderBoard Golf Trainer supported Stack and Tilt, Steve’s response was:
“Absolutely, the LeaderBoard comes with a set of standard drills, some of which are perfect for Stack and Tilt”
You can expect to hear more on this topic next week. Steve has agreed to go into a lot more depth on his views on Stack and Tilt.
We will post it all here – stay tuned.
